Welcome to Face the Food!

My name is Beth, a Registered Dietitian, diabetes advocate, and a proud member of the FOODPICKER community.   We are a growing network of dietetic professionals who serve as primary educational sources for diabetics, their family, and friends, to obtain credible nutrition information and make better food choices.  After all, managing the daily ins-and-outs of diabetes is tough enough.  Getting the accurate information needed to  take control of this disease should be the easy part.

Many diabetics are confused about what foods they can eat and so limit or restrict their diet.  Face the Food was created to help individuals learn that food is not the enemy.  There is no single food that cannot be enjoyed because a person has diabetes.  In fact, a well-balanced nutrition regiment can promote health, longevity, and control diabetes in conjunction with medications.

I am here to address your most pressing nutrition concerns so that you can eat with confidence and learn how to use food to fight disease.  You can trust my facts because I only promote the most up-to-date and evidence-based information put forth by the American Diabetes Association as well as the American Dietetic & American Heart Associations.  Submit your questions to us and together, we’ll face the food!
